Proper Diet for Faster Metabolism

First things first: no mater how you approach the task of speeding up your metabolism, it must start with a proper diet. It is imperative that you never skip a meal, in fact you should add at least two healthy snack to your daily routine. That day must begin with breakfast. Not a doughnut, but a nutritious meal, as all of them should be, These meals must consist of whole foods, not packaged and processed. This constant feeding of good nutrition will keep your energy levels up and your metabolism firing on all cylinders.

Our bodies have a natural survival trigger that kicks in if we are starving, even if that starvation is manufactured by us to try to loose weight. Because of this the body is very adept at storing fat for the lean times. When your try to reduce you calories to burn off fat, your body reduces its rate of burning energy by slowing down the body’s different functions. This equal slowing down your metabolism. The body begins to burn muscle for energy. Now you have less muscle and your metabolism slows further. Muscle burns more calories.

Increase your metabolism by eating several smaller meals through out the day. Keep your energy demands satisfied by eating every two to three hours, breakfast, lunch and dinner with nutritious whole foods snacks in between those meals. Do not eat packaged and processed foods. Convince your body it does not need to store energy. This is the first key to getting rid of fat and having a faster metabolism. Oh, and better health as well.
